African Students speak out
THE GOAL: Participating students will research the selected topic and
prepare clear, persuasive arguments for both sides of the issue. The debate
team will organize a public debate event at their school that will draw the
largest number of students they can. (The
Handbook provides tips and
suggestions on how to organize and publicize this event.) All students who
attend the debate will vote for the side they felt was most compelling. Votes
will be tallied  with the school and national results appearing on the this ARA
debate website.
